“Out in cold drawing houses”

I know the title sounds miserable, but I actually really enjoyed the class. We looked for architecture that looked interesting, and drew 5 different perspectives of the same building. We looked for exciting aspects, magnified the details, changed our view angles. It was FUN!

Over the course of the day I tried different drawing media; such as pencil, Prismacolor pencils, and graphic pens.

After lunch we also jumped on a train and tried to draw while the train was moving—madness if you ask me. I squibbled some lines, not pretty at all. Some people did find it interesting though. Especially the teachers I think.

Soon I was happy to be back on still ground, with at least a few minutes to capture my buildings.

In general, we’ve created some great stuff as a group, and I’m definitely looking forward to the other outside-drawing classes.

It was hard to pick the bits to draw as we were so far away from the building, separated by wide roads that we were not willing to cross at that  point. My fingers were also getting pretty cold now. I used graphic pen and Prismacolours.
