In this project we had to go out into the streets of “Local Universe” and find things that were quirky, strange, displaced, or just plain weird.
Phew, I’m so glad it’s done! Which is usually the case with the CCS essays. This time, the theme was to come up with an alternative souvenir idea of London. I chose “street politics” theme, and went on to create a model of “piece wall with a graffiti tag sprayed on it”.
Here it was. Most students brought their souvenir in order to get the tutors’ feedback. My pieces are in the feature image above.
The other day I went to the gallery across the road from The Cass to check out what’s on.
In preparation for the first CCS essay “Alternative London Souvenir” I went to the university library.
In this short lunch-time-break workshop Cecilie showed us how to create the GIF files in Photoshop. I loved the idea, but for some reason (perhaps my Photoshop settings) I was unable to do it on my computer. I’ve got about half-way through, but then got stuck as a window was missing and nobody knew why.
The other day I went on a trip to Schoreditch. The task was to visit at least two art bookshops/galleries, chose three publications and document them, as well as document the whole trip.
