There isn’t much that one can find out about Ryo Takemasa, except for his abundant artwork.
He was born in 1981, and graduated from Musashino Art University. He’s been a freelance illustrator since 2010. His pieces has been used in numerous books, magazines, adverts, etc.
What I love about his work is the simplicity and textures—it somehow reminds me of our Rachel Gannon’s illustrations, probably because of the textures. Ryo travels and captures feelings of the cities, in a very cute kind of way.
I like these drawings a lot, and somehow the artist’s high level of privacy makes them even more interesting and mysterious!
