Last week I went back to the same gallery, Stolen Space, to see what they have on, and their approach varies in relation to another exhibition.
Of course, the flooring, the walls, and the lightning were the same. The wall signage presenting the artists was also the same—a white foam board with the text and an image.
The artwork again varied from canvas to framed work, but also contained pieces pinned directly on to the wall with actual pins. The artist into beside each piece was different, instead of a transparent tape they used a white card with a green text this time. I think I preferred the former way.
Here are some images of the exhibition:
Overall, the exhibition varied slightly, but had a similar mood, the main factors determining the atmosphere being the artwork. It seems that they have a certain ‘feel’ to them and are purposefully keeping it that way.
